About Me

I am a 22 year old women who has a dream to become a music photographer. I'm still waiting for someone to give that one chance that I need. I don't think I've ever felt happier than what I do when I'm taking pictures. To me, they're not just any regular photo. To me, they show real emotion. Pure enjoyment. Almost as if the artist is just as happy to be there as their fans are.
For me, it's not about getting close to the band or singer that I enjoy listening to. I love capturing these memories for the fans who were there at the show and wasn't able to get any photos, or who were too far away to really see the band or singer. Knowing that I get the chance to do that, whether it be with my Canon 60D or my regular Point & Shoot Camera, I just hope that one day I'll be able capture everything the fans wanted.
Right now, I'm still learning. I know that within time, I'm going to get better and better. At least I could only hope so. My family always told me that I should get into photography. Granted, I don't think they meant music photography, but I was never one to let someone else tell me what I should do with my life. I just want to do something that I love. Something that makes me happy, and possibly, those who were at that show.
One of my main goals is to one day get the opportunity to photograph a Justin Bieber concert. I think he's a really talented guy with an amazing heart. He puts on one heck of a performance. I've seen a lot of concerts in my life, and he was definitely in my top three. He really enjoys what he does, and loves to make his fans happy. I think it'd be really great if I got that kind of opportunity. Scooter Braun has a knack for finding talent, and if he liked my photos well enough to photograph one of Justin's shows, it'd be a huge compliment. I know it sounds nearly impossible, but I refuse to believe there are things that are far too impossible to accomplish.
My first step though, is to finally acquire my first photo pass. Barricade or no barricade at the venue, my first photo pass is going to mean more to me than words can describe. I'll be posting a picture of each one I get. I don't want this to just be a photography blog. I posted my pictures taken from my point and shoot cameras to not only show how much I've grown, but to show how far I've gotten. I want to show you the beginning to the end. Show you the pictures I took when I first realized what I wanted to do, and show you that things are only out of reach if you don't do everything you can for as long as you can.
I'm not sure if many photographers do that. I don't recall ever seeing a photographer show their beginning work from before they had a professional camera, or when they couldn't get their cameras in the venue. I just know that I hope I'm able to prove myself and show you that you shouldn't listen to others when they tell you that what you want to do, is impossible.
(Sorry if there's any typos. This was typed on my iPhone. I'll come back and check at some point in time) :)
